"Christians learn more deeply and truly of Jesus in the Eucharist as nowhere else because here the living Christ takes the matter of his death and our betrayal and sets them forth as the bread of heaven, the food of angels." — Kate Sonderegger
@RevBeccaStevens is a priest in Nashville, Tennessee.
Over the last 25 years, she has built a multi-million dollar justice social enterprise for women survivors of trafficking, addiction and prostitution.
This is a thread what she did and how she did it.
I decided to start over on Twitter.
Follow @ChrisMcalilly for the new stuff.
Here's a thread on the gospel in seven words.
It includes a cuss word said by one of the finest Christians Mississippi ever produced.
This account will stay up, but I'm starting over on Twitter.
In 2011, I didn't have a clear idea of how I wanted to use social media.
Now, I do.
I'll be writing about faith & work, discernment & ancient wisdom, hope & imagination.

A Prayer for the First Day of School
Most gracious God,
I cannot believe it is the first day of school.
We offer you our excitement, our anticipation, our hope!
Thank you for all the ways you have been with our children as they grow in mind, body, and soul.
Give us grace through this transition.
Give us grace with ourselves, our children,
our teachers, our schools.
