@ZacGoodman_ Shared struggle builds unstoppable teams. Military basic training and grueling sports drills ie 2 a Days aren't just about discipline, they are designed to forge bonds. In a modern "Me" society, we need more of that collective grit to bring us together.
@AdamArchuleta I agree and it's hard to perform plus dangerous for the offensive player getting rolled up. The reason why you can't practice it live. But if you show the part of the video where they talk about hawk "roll' tackle, you will see why it's become mainstream. https://t.co/YdPZqoOFZU
@AdamArchuleta I agree with you on tackling dummies and see your video points. Football is violent - you know that more than 99% of the population. My point was only the way tackling is taught now at all levels. I actually think the roll tackle is dangerous for the off player.
@AdamArchuleta Sorry the Hawk "Roll" Tackle or otherwise known as a Gator Tackle, which was also borrowed from Rugby and popularized by Pete Carroll and Rocky Seto. Both the Hawk and Hawk Roll Tackles were designed for player safety - take the heat out of the collision. It's that simple.
@AdamArchuleta A Gator or Hawk tackle means approaching at an angle, wrapping up, and rolling. Right or wrong this has replaced the "head across" method in almost all HS and Colleges. The Texans teach it too. https://t.co/VIODHWCjd0
@StateMediaPSU@CollegeSportsCo Uncle Rico is the Godfather of this throwing style. Really hope the best for him but compromise and split the difference between linear and side arm. You can still be rotational that way.
@AdamArchuleta Inside foot inside shoulder. You have to take the head out of tackling and pick a side. Even on a profile tackle. They haven't taught head across or this for over a decade. Watch the drill really hard to power step with head in the middle or across.
