@notgaetti I have a serious question. If we have to discount MLB stats pre-1947 because the competition was inferior due to segregation doesn’t that mean that we also have to discount Negro League stats for the same reason?
@CalltoActivism God bless your wife. I have been in many ERs in my life, both as a patient and as a family member, to know what heroes nurses are. Continue to take good care of her.
@Miller16Rob@WesClements22 Sure Ryan had other worldly stuff but if I were putting a team together and had to pick between the two I’d pick Seaver and not even give it a second thought. And I saw both of them for their entire careers.
@BillyM2k@jamespp2 Former Judge Michael Luttig was a Republican, was appointed by a Republican, and widely regarded as one of the most conservative judges in the country. He agrees 100% with the Colorado court.
@MosheKeller@iZOOM7 Out of everyone who has ever played in the majors only 1.5% are in the HOF. So if Jeter is an average Hall of Famer that places him in the top 0.75% all time. Pretty good company.
@DLMFanView@dgoold Without a doubt. I have been following baseball since for 60 years and Gibson is certainly in my top 5. I just question your valuation of Ryan. No doubt he was great but IMO he’s not better than most of the pitchers on that list.
@DLMFanView@dgoold You would rather have Ryan start a game 7 than Seaver, Koufax, Pedro, or Randy Johnson? If yes, I think that places you in a distinct minority.
@VannevarB One can only hope that he won’t live that long. Question: let’s suppose Trump is convicted in one or more of the cases against him and he dies a convicted felon. Does he get a state funeral?
@8Country8 @LqLana It hasn’t always been taught. I graduated HS in 1974 and studied “world history” in 10th grade. What I was taught was European history.
