Itโs fascinating what GenAI did to slides. Every second presentation I see lately is enhanced with AI-generated images. Great talk of future of tech leadership from @fuesunw @CTOCraft#berlin#ctocraft

The best part of this week at #CTOCraftCon has been the validation on many levels of the role of a CTO, the methodologies a CTO should leverage, and where my beliefs overlaps with what has been presented on-stage. Flying to London for the conference was a great investment in my personal growth.
And that's a wrap of another awesome #CTOCraftCon event. It was great to caych up with some old friends, meet some new ones, listen to insightful talks and participate in roundtable sessions! Thanks @andyskipper and the team for organising it. Until next time ๐
Had a great panel discussion at CTO Craft Con yesterday! We spoke about the importance of selecting the right tech and how it's often not about the actual technology. Thanks for having me @CTOCraft
"What should a CTO look for in an investor?"
So many post-it takeaways from the final roundtable, on fundraising and the role of the CTO, that they're spilling off the sides! Thanks to Dr Kari Dempsey and Jonathan Holloway for leading this one. #ctocraftcon
@jaimoto81@mipsytipsy Yes that's right! We're into the final session of the conference now so there's not much more left on the livestream. We won't have the talks up immediately after the event, but we'll get them up as soon as possible.
"Your ability to move swiftly, with confidence, is grounded in the quality of your observability."
Amazing keynote from @mipsytipsy this morning: the DevOps revolution is winding down, and weโre entering the post-DevOps era. Are you ready forย Observability 2.0? #ctocraftcon
Some really valuable insights around what that happiness can look like allowing space for personal commitments, different brain types, different ways of working and so much more.
Spoiler: it's absolutely not about offering free beers and ping pong at 7pm on a Friday...
"It's about making it safe for someone to say 'I'm going to opt out of that'."
Great final panel on "Challenging ways of working โ finding happiness at work" this afternoon featuring Georgina Shute, Liz Pope and Ryan Murphy, led by Lauren Langdell.

Tech principles (the things we care about that guide how we go about our work) are more important than a tech strategy.
Thanks Mark Durrand for "Learn to Stop Worrying and Love Having no Tech Strategy"; a good tech strategy is lightweight!ย #ctocraftcon
Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines create the perception that dedicated testers are becoming obsolete, but this view is shortsighted. So how can you embed test expertise in modern software development teams? Katja Obring talking here about going beyond testers.
#ctocraftcon
Giving and receiving feedback is hard. But there are far better ways to give feedback than the dreaded "Do you have a minute?" - Clem Pickering shared a few feedback recipes with us this afternoon, including both formal and informal methods. #ctocraftcon
"Itโs not about work life/balance, itโs about integration"
Elena Bladh in conversation with Emma Hopkinson-Spark on leading your personal growth, and looking at how you can get a handle on your own strengths and areas of development.
#ctocraftcon
"We all opened up... it was emotional"
To those in this afternoon's roundtable on leadership lessons from downsizing and reorganisations: well done! Joel Chippindale and Michael Hefferan led a great and cathartic session.
#ctocraftcon
"Your voice matters, your ideas are valued. You are safe to explore them here."
Great lightning talk from Georgina Shute on psychological safety: how to cultivate an environment where burnout is minimised, productivity soars, & innovation becomes sustainable.
