@jelani9 My first library card was for my school library, St. Michael's School on 4th Ave. in Brooklyn. The first book a Nancy Drew I found on a low, almost hidden shelf that felt like a secret. Maybe 2nd grade, as I learned to read in 1st. Reading this thread is just as magical!
