The @MCA_media has undertaken a review of MGN 469 - Non-Passenger Vessels: Applicable Safety Standards for Vessels Operating Solely on Inland Waterways in the United Kingdom. This reflects updates to legislation. Feedback can be submitted to the MCA by 06 June 2023.
We highlighted this issue last year - the skilled worker visa isn't an easy solution for UK coastal operators who are struggling to recruit crew. This issue is affecting workboats as well as fishing.
