The large UFOs over the Hudson Valley during the 1980s were given a number of nicknames: the Westchester Boomerang or Wing, and Big Bertha.

The problem with ultralights as an explanation: ultralights have loud engines, where the boomerang was largely silent. #danbury #ufo

The Stormville Fliers aka Seven were a group of ultralight pilots flying in formation to mimic the appearance of the HV boomerang UFO.

To quote original witness Ed Burns, the Hudson Valley UFO was so large it was a “flying city” #hudsonvalley #connecticut #danbury #ufo

The upcoming CT UFO Conference was preceded 29 years ago in Sept 1987 by a gathering of New York UFO figures to speak and record accounts.

The Hudson Valley UFO wave made its national media debut via Discover magazine in November 1984, which featured a largely-skeptical article.

Imagine a huge, unknown craft hovering over a nuclear facility. Now imagine the facility has security video running throughout the encounter

Linda’s follow-up to In The Night Sky is Hudson Valley UFOs, which adds new and old cases, including Middletown’s airship sightings.

Speaking at the conference will be Linda Zimmermann, who's first book on HV UFOS is In The Night Sky.

The report that kicked off the Westchester Boomerang wave was on New Years Eve, 1982 in Kent, NY. The first CT sighting was in Danbury.
