Chinese leader Xi Jinping has reportedly held a personal phone call with Vladimir Putin and delivered a stern ultimatum.

According to sources close to the Chinese leadership, Beijing has shifted from a policy of neutrality to direct pressure on Moscow. China, which has for years remained Russia's principal economic and political partner, is now reportedly demanding immediate action.
