Our @CU_EARTH Year 1 students are at Barry Island today, looking at the rocks and landforms and using these to think through the processes that have shaped this landscape and the incredible journey that Barry has been on over the last ~340 million years.

Mae ein cyfres o ddarlithoedd cyhoeddus am ddim yn parhau am 18:30 yn Narlithfa Wallace (0.13 Brif Adeilad) wrth i Dr David Armstrong McKay drafod "Pwyntiau tipio hinsawdd: pa mor agos ydyn nhw a beth i'w wneud amdanyn nhw?"
Are you interested in climate science?
Our free public lecture series continues at 18:30 in the Wallace Lecture Theatre (0.13 in Main Building) as Dr David Armstrong McKay (University of Sussex) discusses "Climate tipping points: how close are they and what to do about them?".
Cafodd y myfyrwyr wythnos anhygoel yn ymweld â chronfeydd dŵr, gwaith trin dŵr, gwaith trin dŵr gwastraff, labordai, samplu ar afonydd Gwy ac Ogwr, a llawer mwy, clywed gan yr arbenigwyr am y "safon aur" mewn cyflenwad dŵr o'r ffynhonnell i sinc.
Diolch yn fawr i @DwrCymru Welsh Water a Lisvane-Llanishen Reservoir am gynnal ein cwrs maes Gwyddor Cynaliadwyedd Amgylcheddol blwyddyn gyntaf yr wythnos diwethaf.
The students had an incredible week visiting reservoirs, water treatment works, wastewater treatment works, laboratories, sampling on the Rivers Wye and Ogmore, and much more, hearing from the experts about the "gold standard" in water supply from source to sink.
Many thanks to @DwrCymru Welsh Water & Lisvane-Llanishen Reservoir for hosting our first year Environmental Sustainability Science field course last week.
