Finally settled in Atlanta and excited to begin my postdoc at Emory University. Grateful for my PhD advisor @dalbersszafir and years with @cu_visualab. Ready for the next chapter, expanding my understanding of cognition and visualization with @profembwall! 🥳 #AtlantaSunrise
📆 Wednesday May 15th, 4:30-4:45pm HST, Room 317, Jade Kandel will talk about “PD-Insighter: A Visual Analytics System to Monitor Daily Actions for Parkinson’s Disease Treatment”.

🌴Excited to be at #CHI2024! VisuaLab current (and past) members @matthhong, Jade Kandel and @jiquad will be presenting their latest research on human-data interaction. Join us to discover innovative insights in colors, charts and health in #DataVis! 📊🎨
Sad to miss #CHI2024 this year, but excited that @matthhong, Jade Kandel and (now alum) @jiquad
will be representing the @cu_visualab. Please say hello if you see them!
Career update
After two amazing years at @unc, @unccs, and @cu_visualab , excited to share that I have joined @UofOklahoma as an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science and @ENGINEERINGatOU . I'm thankful for the support from my mentors, friends & colleagues.
Exciting day at the VisuaLab as we host innovative minds from TTI/Vanguard! Engaging discussions span human, data and everything from health to visual cognition to AI! Check out our page: https://t.co/T4pg5YkTj5 for more updates! 🤩🤩🤩
📢 Interested in what accessible data visualization research *actually* means for non-vision disabilities? Our @ieee_tvcg paper, ‘Beyond Vision Impairments: Redefining the Scope of Accessible Data Representations,’ reveals how we can broaden data access for various disabilities🌟
Excited to chat with folks on the different contexts of when visualizations should be presented beyond the traditional desktop paradigm. Many thanks to @UIowaCS for hosting me!
Thursday:
Join us in Clustering & Scatterplot session (9:00 AM Room# 104) for 1) Automatic Scatterplot Design Optimization for Clustering Identification with Jennifer Adorno, @bmwiernik and @PaulRosenPHD https://t.co/x3WT0g4ko2
Kicking off #ieeevis2023 with the @vis4good workshop! Tomorrow (10/23) at 9:00 AM AEDT, Room 105, I'll be presenting our position paper "Empowering People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) through Cognitively Accessible Visualizations". w/@dalbersszafir 🤩
Here at Melbourne for #ieeevis VIS2023. List of 🧵 for #VIS week activties- papers in Clustering & Scatterplots sesssion, @VisWkshp workshop and co-organizing @visxvision workshop.
Here at Melbourne for #VIS2023! "A Computational Design Pipeline to Fabricate Sensing Network Physicalizations" introduces how we can 3D print network physicalizations that support node selection because of its innate sensing capabilities

Excited to have the fabulous team of @sandrabae_sb, @kekewu728, & @jiquad representing the @cu_visualab at #ieeevis! Please track them down to say hello and hear more about the on-going work in the lab. While I won't be there, happy to grab virtual coffee post-conference.
Curious about the lived data experiences of people with IDD? Wednesday (4/26) at 9:55am, Room Y05+06, I’m presenting our paper in the Vis & People session. Looking forward to discussions around visualization and cognitive accessibility! #CHI2023#Hamburg
Not at #CHI2023 but was at @rmrrf! A project that I worked on won the “The most functional/project” award (More info soon!) 🏆
FABulous to connect with folks who made the project possible and received amazing community feedback @Proto_pasta@Prusa3D @PavelPelcak @CNC_Kitchen
