What a memorable experience at the London Transport Museum's Depot Open Days in Acton!
Dean Horobin-Wright, our Apprenticeship Scheme Supervisor, represented #Cubic across all three days alongside our apprentices, helping visitors understand the technology that keeps #London's transport network moving.
Through interactive demonstrations and transport technology displays, young people, families, and aspiring engineers got hands-on with real transport equipment and the skills needed to build and maintain modern transport infrastructure. They also learned about engineering careers and discovered the vital role apprentices play in supporting transport systems across the capital.
The activities gave visitors the opportunity to meet people who are already building successful careers in the industry.
Joining Dean was our apprentice Dylan Brown, who is currently developing his engineering skills as part of Cubic's Field Service Engineering #apprenticeship programme.
He shared his real-life experience of working as an apprentice in the transport sector and explained how apprenticeships can provide a direct route into rewarding careers in #engineering and #technology.
The event is part of our ongoing support for the London Transport Museum's #STEM and employability initiatives, helping to inspire the next generation of transport and engineering professionals.

Sometimes the best work happens when you step away from the desk. We took time to refresh and strengthen the bonds that make us who we are.
Good food, good drinks, fun conversations, and precious moments together outside of the office cubicles or teleconferences.
Strong teams aren't just built in meetings - they're built on connection, trust, and shared experiences.
Happy Hour, the CUBES way 🥳 😎

What a tour! 🚇 We had an incredible sneak peek of Minneapolis's Green Line extension – a 14.5-mile project adding 16 new stations to connect downtown Minneapolis with St. Louis Park, Hopkins, Minnetonka, and Eden Prairie.
Impressed by the scope, inspired by the vision. This project is about more than transit – it's about improved regional connectivity, economic development, and expanded access to jobs for communities across the region.
Proud to witness cities investing in infrastructure that truly makes a difference. This is the infrastructure that moves people and transforms communities.

Open payments aren’t just a big-city upgrade. They’re becoming the new standard for how transit works.
For community and mid-sized agencies, especially those on a #SaaS platform, the real challenge isn’t whether to offer tap-and-go options—it’s how to do it in a way that’s simple to run, easy to scale, and inclusive for every rider.
How are agencies turning open-loop payments into a practical, rider-first strategy at a pace agencies can support and #riders can adopt?

The UK Prime Minister's commitment to bringing London-style integrated ticketing to #England is welcome news.
Our team has spent decades designing and delivering simpler, joined-up public transport, using technology to deliver seamless tap-in, tap-out journeys with fare capping and built-in best-price calculations. #Oyster and many integrated ticketing programmes worldwide prove it.
Earlier this year, together with @CBTransport and industry stakeholders, we explored what national integrated ticketing looks like in practice.
The resulting white paper, Tap to the Future, set out practical recommendations for delivering a nationally coherent system while giving local transport authorities the flexibility to set policies that work for their regions.
We've done the policy thinking with a proven technology solution. Now, we're excited to work with the Government to deliver better transport systems across England.

Transport should work for everyone, everywhere. England’s £2 bus fare cap launching in January is a step toward making that vision real.
More than a policy, it's an investment in people and the communities they call home. For #passengers who spend significant portions of their income on transport, this cap means real savings, real relief, and renewed access to opportunities.
Transport equity matters because mobility is freedom—the freedom to work, learn, connect, and thrive. When public transport becomes more affordable, everyone benefits. 👇

As #Spain and #Argentina fans continue to experience a whirlwind of emotions from the World Cup Final, the New York-New Jersey region, where the tournament culminated at MetLife Stadium, delivered a championship performance of its own.
Behind the emotion, energy, and global spotlight were meticulous planning, coordination, and execution that kept hundreds of thousands of fans moving through one of the world's most complex metropolitan areas. The final showed the region passed the test.
It showcased the power of regional collaboration, with transit agencies, city planners, public safety officials, and event organizers working together to support the largest #football tournament in history.
From expanded transit services and dedicated shuttle operations to enhanced wayfinding, crowd management, and real-time operational adjustments, the New York-New Jersey region showed how strategic planning can transform a global mega-event into a smooth and accessible experience for visitors and residents alike.
Despite welcoming hundreds of thousands of spectators to eight sold-out matches, the region largely avoided the kinds of disruptions that often happen with events of this scale. The result was a transportation network that not only moved people efficiently but also reinforced the region's reputation as one of the few places in the world capable of hosting multiple major events simultaneously while maintaining a high level of service.
As the World Cup reached its historic conclusion, the success of the mobility operation stands as a model for future international events, proving that world-class transportation and thoughtful urban planning are just as essential to a successful tournament as the action on the field.

A fairer, more efficient railway starts with the right policy and supporting technology. With £33.4 million in funding announced for new ticket gates across #England, this is a major step toward protecting fare revenue and improving services for passengers.
Every pound recovered from fare evasion is a pound that can go toward better journeys, upgraded carriages, and network improvements.
We're excited to support agencies and operators in delivering fare gate technology that makes transport safer, smarter, and more efficient for everyone who does the right thing. From traditional gates to advanced solutions like #FEnX – currently being deployed in cities around the world – this is our commitment to innovations that promote fare compliance through intelligent user experience design, enable safer, faster #passenger flow in real-time, and generate actionable insights for future operations.
Technology that protects revenue, improves operations, and creates a better experience for everyone – that's the future we're building, together.

We were honored to welcome Illinois Representative Eva-Dina Delgado to our Chicago office for an insightful conversation about the future of public transit.
It was a meaningful dialogue about what riders truly need: a fare system so simple and intuitive that it becomes invisible – where paying your fare is never a barrier to getting where you need to go.
Representative Delgado's vision is clear and powerful: Chicago deserves a best-in-class fare policy that brings equity, safety, and seamless travel across agencies. Her focus on fare evasion as a public safety issue resonated deeply with our team, and we're excited to partner with Chicago on solutions that enhance rider experience while reducing broader challenges on the system.
Together, we're working toward a fare system that delivers equity, safety, and enhanced benefits for every rider.
These conversations matter for the communities we serve.
