Because of the Driving Ban in the Town of Cheektowaga, CUBRC's facilities will be closed today, 1/17/2024. Employees should heed the driving bans and WFH if possible. Monitor local media for weather and travel updates. Facilities will open after travel restrictions are lifted.
UPDATE - The County will be lifting the travel restrictions as of 0900 this morning. Employees who need to report to our WNY based facilities should use caution while traveling today.
1/15/2024 - CUBRC's Cheektowaga, NY facilities (HQ and Aero Test facilities) will be closed today because of weather related road closures. CUBRC's facilities will reopen when these restrictions are lifted.
CUBRC Headquarters building is closed today due to a power failure at our Genesee St. facility. Aero operations are continuing normally. Admin, C4 and DSIF employees should work remote where possible. No ETA on restoration.
A Blizzard Warning was issued for the Niagara Frontier, including the Buffalo Metro area. Lake effect snow, strong wind, blowing snow, and -10 to -25 wind chills will follow a frontal passage Friday. Travel will be difficult to impossible Friday through much of Christmas weekend.
