I’m not being a hater; obviously players who played at a high level have a lot to contribute to the discourse. But why knock on the ways in which we’ve come to better understand the game?

The funny thing about the @TheRealHoz35 controversy is that he thinks OPS is some sort of new age advanced analytic? In reality it’s basically just an old school rate stat! And the things he claims analytics fail to take into account… are exactly the things it accounts for
