Conversation with black cab driver…
Me: Can I pay by card please?
Cabbie: This one’s on me
Me: NoI insist. It’s your living!
Cabbie: You’ve given me so much pleasure on LBC over the years, it’s my way of saying thank you.
Me: I don’t know what to say…
Cabbie: Put it in a charity box
Me: Deal!
It's quite surreal that a man I've listened to in the afternoon from around 1981 on @BBCR1 and now on @BBCRadio2 is coming to an end tomorrow. Im genuinely gutted. Thanks Steve Wright for making me laugh over the last 40 years. He's like a favourite uncle. Thank you #sobbing no G
PH Vehicles working from the Free Now App are plying for hire, entirely undermining the two-tier system of licensing. UTAG will be arguing that in court, support @UTAG17 today, for our tomorrow
@MayorofLondon@EnfieldCouncil@TfLTPH@eTaxiCharging How much longer do taxi drivers have to put up with this when are we going to get aRift card for the E taxi only chargers🤔 Its way overdue and becoming more and more of a problem
@cliffscab@eTaxiCharging@InstaVoltUK Would be a great bit of piece of mind if @BonnetTaxi could guarantee a price freeze and for what length of time 🤞🏻

The pandemic has been incredibly hard on black cab drivers, with many struggling, and we may lose this iconic part of London if we do not offer them more support. I always take black cabs - they're safe & you can't beat their stories! #SupportBlackCabs#TaxisCantWfh
