They’re 2 major things we pay for in this country and its Location & View. Where u are matters & what u see or who sees you also matters. Thinkaboutthat #CoachPrime
@MichaelKat80303 Yesterday Manhattan University reached out to Navy Baseball who graciously agreed to make their field available for all both games. The offer was presented to Mount St. Mary and rejected by their admin because they didn’t want to pay or travel the hour to get to the field
@MAACSports what kind of smoke and mirrors is going on here, 1 groundskeeper working on an “unplayable” field. Mount clinches and shuts down the year. Field “unplayable” but Mount players were in the outfield before Manhattan bus could leave the lot. Terrible precedent to set.
Today's scheduled baseball game between Mt. St. Mary’s and Manhattan University was canceled due to an “unplayable field.”
Unbelievable that no alternative site was pursued and the lack of effort from the MSM grounds crew was non-existent.
Ironically, Justine Miller, the Deputy Director of Athletics and Sports Administrator for Baseball was overheard having a conversation with other members of the Athletics Department during a rain delay and stated “…no games would be played tomorrow.” Additionally, numerous MSM’s parents reported that the field wasn’t tarped which is normally done to avoid unplayable field conditions.
Despite the outfield being deemed “unplayable”, Mount pitchers were in the unplayable outfield long tossing before the Manhattan bus could even pull away. In my opinion, the intent was to never play the games, as mentioned in the comment above and as evidenced by their coach not even putting uniforms pants on.
#justice for Manhattan Baseball
The GREAT Pete Rose just died. He was one of the most magnificent baseball players ever to play the game. He paid the price! Major League Baseball should have allowed him into the Hall of Fame many years ago. Do it now, before his funeral! DJT
There has never been another player like Pete Rose in my lifetime. This is the way I will remember him, playing the game harder than anyone else ever did.
Few athletes will leave behind more complicated legacies. Today isn’t the day for that.
Today, let’s just say thanks to Charlie Hustle, for playing the way we always dreamt we would if given the chance. #RIP
