During the 19th century, Alberta was on the US dollar, and the US postal service, before there was any connection to eastern Canada via railroads.
Cattle were purchased in Texas and driven up to the grasslands of Alberta via the Great Western Trail.
Later, American farmers brought the agricultural technologies that had been developed on the Great Plains, and used them to cultivate Alberta.
American school teachers also went to Alberta, and took special oaths that still protected their American citizenship, while teaching Albertan school children.
In 1906, nearly 25% of the people living in Alberta were American BORN. And, prior to that multi-generations of Albertans originally had American roots. This is OUR Culture, Make Alberta Great Again! Choose Option # 2 on the referendum question # 10 in October

Congratulations Alberta, you just bought yourselves a TransMountain-like pipeline.

If all goes well it will be operational by 2035, and will only cost $50 billion in taxpayer money.... money we don't have.

Let's run some very simple economics.

It will transport 1 million barrels per day, at a fee of $10/barrel. That means it will generate $10,000,000/day in revenue, which is $3.65 billion/year. But it will cost at least $1 billion/year to operate (power, labour, chemicals, maintenance, interest on the borrowed money, carbon tax, etc).

So the initial payout is $50 B divided by $2.65 B/yr. which is 18.8 years. Who wants to wait almost 20 years before they get a return on their investment?

The economics don't work because the regulations make the pipeline too expensive and risky. There was a time, lest than 15 years ago, when the private sector could have built this for $10 billion.

This is not a win. The real problems aren't being addressed, and this is making things worse.

Some facts about Alberta’s pathway to independence in 2026.
1. The Supreme Court of Canada confirmed in 1998 that all provinces including Alberta have the right to independence and set out the legal pathway.
2. Nothing in the First Nations Treaties in Alberta preclude Alberta separating nor does independence require First Nations to change their Treaties.
3. The 1930 Natural Resources Transfer agreement and subsequent court rulings confirm that the land, minerals (oil and gas), resources, and water are all owned by the Alberta Government. That agreement did not transfer management—it transferred ownership. The 1982 sec. 92A amendment to the Constitution confirmed Alberta’s resource management authority.
4. Section 109 of the Constitution does not apply to independence and especially to Alberta.
5. Albertans send roughly $15–25 billion more to Ottawa than they receive back but it can be as high as $47 billion.
6. Only Alberta’s 48 First Nations need to be consulted and each one of those First Nations will either decide to keep the status quo re Canada administering their Treaties, or ask Alberta to administer them, or ask to negotiate a new treaty.
7. The Federal Government and all provinces will need to sign off on the terms of separation (not just the amending formula). The Constitutional amendments would simply remove all references to Alberta from the Constitutional documents. The Federal Government and the provinces are obligated to conduct good faith negotiations, failure of which Alberta can unilaterally declare its independence.

If you’re not from Alberta, don’t you have bigger things to worry about?

Like Canada’s collapsing economy?
Mass, unsustainable immigration?
The collapsing housing market?
Rising crime rates?
The cost of food?
Interest rates?

We’re all having these conversations. But instead of focusing on what you think we should be doing in Alberta...maybe take this time to think about what your province could be doing better.

This isn't civic discourse; it's a blatant incitement to chaos, economic sabotage, and outright sedition.

You're not fighting for teachers' rights; you're weaponizing them to topple democracy for your own ego-fueled grudge. Disgraceful. Utterly unforgivable.

Remember Tamara Lich? The Freedom Convoy co-organizer who dared to rally truckers against illegal vaccine mandates? For that, a peaceful protest, she was dragged through hell: charged with mischief, held in custody for weeks, and now under house arrest.

You and the establishment painted her as a threat to order, even labeling her a domestic terrorist.

If she was held accountable for apparently crossing the line, then why do you .... a smug opportunist get a free pass to broadcast your blueprint for national paralysis on every podcast and panel, without a single handcuff in sight?

The hypocrisy is vomit-inducing. Lich whispered "hold the line" in a moment of desperation against government overreach.... and the full force of the law came crashing down on her.

Nenshi? He shouts it from the rooftops, urging mass strikes to cripple supply chains, bankrupt businesses, and force a government collapse... all because he can't stomach a policy he dislikes.
