My dad's secretary told my sisters and me that one time the whole office was out having drinks and going around complaining about their wives and when it got time for my dad to say something he said idk I love my wife she's my best friend.
Dear Young Adults, You can leave.
If you don't like your doctor, walk out in the middle of your appointment.
Leave the party. End the date. Don't wait until the "polite" time to leave or endure because you think you'll make a scene.
You can go.
I feel like sometimes we all need this reminder. No matter if you’re a patient or a caregiver - this ISN’T your fault. Please don’t add that burden to your shoulders. I know it’s easier said than done… sending you lots of love and understanding 🤍🫂
Shame is something I felt a lot of during my cancer experience. I feel it in survivorship too. These feelings are normal, but it doesn’t make them any easier. I wanted to share what I wish someone told me in that moment. Holding space & sending 🤍 to each person who can relate.
