We are years off of a CS here in the New Forest, yet we deliver all the public goods. Here is my favourite valley mire! In summer it will be a carpet of bog asphodels. Valued by Defra?

ELMs doesn't really have an option big enough to support really big landscapes which often include common land.

The Dartmoor Review is out. Substantial changes are recommended in how @NaturalEngland approach agri-environment delivery on SSSIs.

This has ramifications across all upland/marginal areas of England where multiple outcomes incl nature recovery is sought

It is good that @NaturalEngland recognises the need to change how they work with the farming community to improve outcomes for nature, climate, businesses and people.

I hope this refreshed approach will be implemented across England.

Thanks to our staff and other New Forest organisations, we’ve cleared up truckloads of rubbish left behind by travellers and made the area safe for forest animals. The staff time and cost of specialist waste removal diverts Forestry England’s limited resources. #CareForTheForest

For too long commons had been put in the 'too difficult' box by @DefraGovUK and @Ruralpay. It seems they remain in the too difficult box. A political & environmental own goal.
