The sitting president of the United States had to pay $5 million to a woman he raped and defamed, and not one person in his entire cult of a party is calling for his resignation.
Not one.
No, Donald, this was not a case "against the United States of America and all it stands for." It was a case against you. And a jury of your peers found you liable for rape and defamation. You lost. Again.
When he says the bipartisan housing bill is “so unimportant” compared to the voter suppression bill he means it doesn’t help him personally while the other one saves his ass
When the 2nd Circuit affirmed E. Jean Carroll's $83.3 million verdict against Trump (the case that's still on appeal, not the one the Court ended by refusing to hear it today) I wrote this. It's still true. Woman are still fighting for rights & privileges men take for granted.
Trump’s net worth has nearly tripled in his second term, reaching $6.5 billion.
His administration is the most brazenly self-enriching in American history.

AOC on Medicare Advantage: In theory, agents and brokers work with everyday people enrolling in a plan and are there to help them pick the best plan for their health, right?
That’s how it’s supposed to be set up.
What gets complicated is that agents and brokers are paid by health insurers for enrolling individuals in specific plans.
And so you’re supposed to have agents and brokers talking to your mom or your grandparent, saying, “We’d like to enroll you. We think this plan is what’s best for you.”
But what that person doesn’t know is that UnitedHealthcare is saying, “We’ll give you a vacation if you enroll people in our plan,” or, “We’ll give you a couple of extra hundred dollars if you enroll someone in a Blue Cross Blue Shield plan, a United plan, or any number of other plans.”
And in your testimony, you stated that agents and brokers received $10 billion in this kind of compensation in 2022 alone, right?
That’s $10 billion in taxpayer money. A lot of it is being funneled through these corporations. And so that is money that is not going to care. It’s going to perks, trips to Boca, and financial incentives for brokers to enroll people out of traditional Medicare and into for-profit Medicare Advantage plans.
Rep. Rob Wittman (R-VA) faked a phone call for roughly 90 seconds after being asked about Speaker Mike Johnson’s comments regarding potential Social Security cuts.
The phone's screen remained visible, with his cheek inadvertently tapping different parts of the display.
So… Iran, a country whose military we’ve “destroyed”, was able to shoot down one of our Apache helicopters, during a “ceasefire”, in the middle of a war that isn’t a war, which is “two days” away from ending?
