@PolitlcsUK@e_casalicchio Spending money on welfare is a poor return - spending money on Defense, particularly if is procurement of British made equipment provides not only jobs but brings in additional taxes. How is this a difficult decision?
@MartinSLewis The BBC is listened / watched all over the world by people (a lot of expats) who do so using a VPN. I know the majority would be happy to pay to access the BBC services via a subscription. It’s a source of revenue that should be explored.
@WilliamJHague True but most of our in house defence capability is gone. We cannot build ships or aircraft anymore and what equipment we have is mostly from the USA. It will take a long time to regain this ability.
@kgrr73@realTrumpNewsX Last I heard, NATO troops are not involved or else the shit would really hit the fan! A European problem? Really? I guess Germany in the Second World War was a European problem?
@realTrumpNewsX Considering most of the funding goes to US Defence Companies, it safeguards American jobs and shows Putin he cannot get away with his bullying - a no brainier surely?
@sharrond62 No, she has much, much more damage to do before she will consider her job done. Anyway, there’s several more countries Kier needs to travel to first…..he doesn’t have time for all this nonsense - don’t you know he’s on a mission.
@kelvmackenzie We were encouraged by previous governments to work hard and save for our personal pension. Now these clowns think they can come and steal our savings, as we are not classed as working people. Good luck Starmer at the next election as your tenure at No10 will be short lived.
@BBCPolitics@BBCNews The winter fuel payments would have been received by pensioners in November / December. The increase in State Pension occurs next year in April….. so how does a pensioner pay their bills in the interim period? WTF?!
