For your consideration for the most NJ sentence ever:
I can’t go down the shore tonight; I missed my NJTransit transfer because the train was packed from a Bruce Springsteen concert.
A new piece I wrote for @DemocracySOS arguing that RCV is a superior tool for depolarizing our politics than Condorcet voting methods:

Menendez is not going to be the last NJ politician convicted of corruption. We need to upgrade how we vote to help us check corruption at the ballot box.
Corruption is in the news (again) in New Jersey. We need a stronger democracy to empower voters to punish corruption at the ballot box: https://t.co/IDDUxL78Sp
In the past two months, two additional municipalities voted to urge New Jersey to enable ranked-choice voting for local elections. Hoboken, Jersey City, and Red Bank have stepped up. How did they do it, and could your town be next?

@stateaidguy Agreed cross-country comparison is way too messy.
But the best stats I could find put NJ 34th for % of women in the state legislature and performed similarly unrepresentative on other demographic factors like race and age.
@stateaidguy I tried looking for a reputable source that says NJ has more demographic diversity in elected officials compared to its peers, could you share what source you are using for that?
It’s official: #RedBank has joined Hoboken and Jersey City. They’re urging New Jersey to pass ranked-choice voting enabling legislation for local elections. (1/4)
Planning on voting by mail in the 2024 Primary Election on Tuesday, June 4? Be sure to apply for a mail-in ballot by mail by Tuesday, May 28 or pick it up in person by 3PM on Monday, June 3. Don’t forget, you can track your ballot after returning it. #NJVotes#VoteByMail
@TEDTalks@AndrewYang Ranked-choice voting ensures majority support and ends low-turnout runoffs. Across the country we have seen it boost turnout, elect more diverse candidates and give people more choices.

@DCInbox I don’t have this problem with other text to speech engines - but Apple is insistent I am volunteering for “ranch choice voting” at @VoterChoiceNJ.
We are 100% volunteer run. None of our events, presentations, wins would have been possible if people didn’t step up and volunteer.
We need all kinds of volunteers. If you are willing to learn, we could use your help: https://t.co/D3t2WmF2WZ
ICYMI, the #JerseyCity Council approved their ranked-choice voting trigger ordinance last night.
“This vote marks a significant step toward reshaping the future of elections in #NewJersey for the better." @VoterChoiceNJ

@TabbyWindsor8@StevenFulop@SolomonforJC It’s true that bad candidates still get elected with RCV, but let’s also keep this in mind:
Without RCV: Adams +10%
With RCV: Adams <1%
With RCV, NYC saw the highest turnout for a local election in 30 years and the number of candidates running for races more than doubled.
