@BJRains He literally regressed in most major statistical categories and was one of their worst defenders. He’s a “sharp shooter” who has now shot 32% from 3 back to back years. Is this what we’re celebrating now?
@BJRains Shot 41% from 3PT junior year on 177 shots. % down in senior year but was required to do more and bail out in deep clock situations. Tru Washington shot like 33% and Mashburn 33% year before that. So hilarious
B.J. I hear you on the environment benefit and what exists at other schools. There’s something missing for sure. But I also know that you lose people VERY quickly when a team loses bad games, is 260th in FG%, with a pretty boring offense and no real “star”. Comments about fans in any capacity are not liable to help that in any way (walked back or not).
I was there. It got loud a few times during runs with good basketball being played. Quiet when offense was 25 seconds of perimeter passing with no movement and a low % shot under clock pressure. Unfortunately, that isn’t too exciting. I do agree with you on the atmosphere - I think all fans would agree they want the same. Reality, it’s a more complicated issue I suppose.
