This situation arises from greed. Teams and VCs are too lazy or greedy to do the necessary work to maintain positive sentiment. Insiders exploit projects and set criteria that favor them, and industrial sybils exacerbate the problem. However, the LayerZero team has shown that effective measures can be taken. Jito's drop was well-received, and no one complained. Arbitrum also executed a successful airdrop with positive sentiment, as did Optimism. Uniswap remains popular to this day. The key strategy is simple:

Build something genuinely useful and achieve product-market fit. Put in the necessary work to balance the reward system, avoiding heavy backlash.

Reward your real users, who will continue to use your protocol, keeping sentiment positive. Then, return to building.

You can't satisfy everyone, but you can strike a balance.

Founders should focus on building and leave marketing to the community and professional growth strategists who understand sentiment and community engagement. If this were done, we wouldn't be having this discussion. I acknowledge that zkSync and other major 2024 launches have contributed significantly to this issue, but I refuse to believe airdrops are inherently bad.

You should increase your fucking 5% Community airdrop. No major project gave 5% airdrop to its users.

Rumors have been circulating for a full year that $ZRO will be released today or tomorrow. You do this with your little games on the network and some Twitter accounts. In this way, you kept the network alive for another year and farmed people.

ZRO will be launched in 2 days and your checker is still not ready. This shows that you don't care about the community.

Make the 5% airdrop allocation 10%. (Just like other big projects)

No tokens should be in circulation outside of the airdrop (as in large airdrops. For example, Arbitrum)

Otherwise I will continue to think you have bad intentions.

If you try to pocket the community's effort and money, you will become a scammer project.

Arbitrum: 11% allocated to over 600,000 users. Their RFP was a completely separate allocation.

Optimism: 14% allocated for airdrops. So far, they have conducted four rounds of airdrops. The first one was 5%, but only 250,000 individuals were eligible.

Zksync: Although I shouldn't be discussing this, they failed in terms of criteria but not allocation. They stayed true to their promises. They allocated a whopping 17.5% to the community, which many expected LayerZero to do because both projects acquired a large number of durable users simultaneously. They were the two most talked-about projects in web3 for a long time.

Wormhole: 6.17%, all unlocked. RFP is not included. Around 400,000 users were eligible.

There are many more examples we could discuss.

Allocating just 5% to core users is the lowest so far, especially for a project that has generated significant revenue and received substantial funding. There's no excuse for this unless the VCs, who own the project, have made a permanent decision.

I'm not trying to FUD at all. I'm just stating nothing but pure facts.

今天把《权力》这本书看完了，写的特别好。几点感悟：

1.一定要往上爬，有权力能有更大的选择权，更长的寿命。

2.现在要拼命赚钱，抓住周期和时代红利。能省去别人需要花30年干着无意义、无法选择的工作。

5.对职业发展道路积极乐观，不要因为一时困顿限制未来发展的可能性。

6.承认自己无知的人更容易获得提高，从比更有技能、愿意告诉真相的人那里听取建议。
