@cupe2026 @dpsuoecta @elemdp @APSSPUnion @DPERWA1 DPCDSB unions showing solidarity with our members. Today we enjoyed a Family Skate Day ⛸️enjoyed by all. Solidarity keeps us in unity!
People are dying b/c of delayed health care & understaffing in hospitals. All b/c #Ontario chose subsidies for home developers, beer availability, corporate grift & privatization over public services.
This is what Doug Ford's Conservatives stand for. 🥴 #OnPoli
The amount of money that the Ford government has spent fighting its own citizens in court could probably solve some problems in our health care and education systems, just saying. @fordnation#onpoli
@ColinDMello Ford lying that he treats people fairly as he squanders more tax dollars fighting the court ruling against Bill 124 has got to be the height of hypocrisy even for him.
Ford is also increasing taxes to subsidize developer fees. Sounds fair lol. .@fordnation
I was quiet here for the last week to allow for members to have space to use their voice.just a shout out to my Twitter fam who reached out to check on me. That was so appreciated.
Nog or No Nog I will always have your backs!
So @fordnation has LOST every court challenge and should repay the tax $ of ours he spent fighting them all. Retweet if you'd like to see those $ go to housing/healthcare/education...
Just finished reading Justice Koehnen’s ruling on the unconstitutionality of Bill 124. Now to digest it all.
A few things stood out:
-govt did this to avoid strikes
-govt feels they are above the law
-this was the start of union busting as even the Justice stated /2
Today in Ontario the Superior Court ruled Bill 124 was an infringement on Charter right to bargain. APSSP applauds the court's affirmation of essential worker rights. We implore the government to focus on meaningful negotiation not legislation with frontline education workers.
Which is why Ford/Lecce added the notwithstanding clause to Bill 23. Look where that ended up.
At the end of the day power drunk politicians always think they can push through oppression
Stiles: how did you choose which lands to cut from the greenbelt?
Clark: no answer
Stiles: did de Gasperis and Rice get insider information from you?
Clark: no answer
We have just received a copy of the decision striking down #Bill124! Our team is reviewing & will be providing further information as to impacts as soon as we can.
With the ruling today by the Ontario Superior Court deeming #Bill124 null & void - I am watching the Ford government carefully. This is another loss & mark against their government. Appealing not only waste our taxpayer dollar but also shows their clear attack against workers
Dear High School teachers:
Had several teachers reach out asking if I could speak to their classes about the #Bill28, Charter issues.
I could prepare a 15 minute video targeting grade 11 & 12 that could be shown. If questions, you could send them to me.
Any interest?
Let’s keep the narrative straight here. CUPE went on strike because the Ford government tried to circumvent the rights of workers to collectively bargain by using legislation and the Notwithstanding clause. Not the other way around. So don’t fall for this gaslighting crap coming
We are at the table. We are focused on a deal that works for workers, students & families.
Kids are in class.
Don’t take advantage of our good nature. We need Bill 28 repealed & a good deal that pulls us out of low income & provides real services for kids.
Why the delay?
