Actually, this habit didn’t start on Earth. He’s been like this since his days on Philos🥹 When he mentions his favorite school class was “the one where he could lie on the grass and soak up the sun,” it sounds like a playful joke about skipping class. But beneath that humor lies the painful reality of where he came from.

In The Lucky Loop and Distant Stars, Philos is a world of eternity, brilliant yet cold, where immortality distances everyone from warmth and human connection. Sunlight is rare there. So for Xavier, lying under the sun was never laziness. It was pure freedom and rebellion against the numbness of eternity💔

That longing followed him all the way to Earth. Lying on the grass, sitting in the last row of a sunlit bus, reading under the sun, even suggesting that we sunbathe together. He never stops searching for that light!!

From a boy under Philos’ rare sunlight to a man holding onto warmth on Earth, Xavier has always chosen to reach for the light. And I think that’s what makes him so human, even among the stars🫶🏻
