@hellspatisserie People moan about the Americans when they try to be quasi European in football culture but also brand them cringe if they try and keep it American too. Seems like a canโt win situation when it comes to their fandom.
@JamesMelville Replacing overly long phrases with more concise and descriptive terms should be seen as a positive in communication but nostalgia obsessed weirdos see any change in vernacular or views in how the game is seen as some affront to the sport
@ademir2z Every other proposed solution always ends up rewarding stodgy defensive football. Imagine if tiebreakers were decided by xG (preposterous I know)
@JonnyJobson@Robert_mac88 Michael Cox likes to believe himself to be the smartest man in the room, itโs why all his replies to his lowly readers is all condescending hogwash. Typical of a middle class buffoon to come at you for decorum. Having a half decent vocabulary is not a substitute for intelligence
@TheAthleticFC Our issues are due to falling behind in coaching and development with misguided views on how to measure football talent. Not with some nonsensical belief that we want to differentiate ourselves from England and not playing mediocre players playing in the English league
@TheAthleticFC This article is 50% Scottish football history report taken straight out of Wikipedia, 50% drivel of a moron who has no ability to comment on contemporary Scottish football. Michael Cox is a middle class pseudo intellectual that is a disease to football
@GoggsyNineNine This point about genetics, if we are at a natural disadvantage why must we play a brand of football and coaching style wholly hinged on good genetics. Seems coutnerintuitive but probably a reason why we have a rut of football intelligence and have done for the past 30-40 years
@sportscaddy Think of Shaq in the NBA. Brutish power with deft finishing touch and knows how to use his body to the fullest extent and doesnโt dawdle in possession pretending to be something he isnโt, everything is about โhow can I get the best opportunity to scoreโ
@mkwitzke@RedGreenBC He is a statistical outlier in every regard. Heโs 99th percentile in dribbling, passing and finishing. Only player in history to significantly cheat his xg for over 5+ seasons and thereโs not much public data over his most prolific scoring seasons.
