Most foreigners who move to South Africa for hustle are not living in Sandton mansions or taking executive seats in big corporations. They are usually in the same poor neighborhoods, townships, informal settlements, and hard environments as the locals; trying to survive from the bottom mostly through entrepreneurship. So when people attack the foreigner running a corner shop (which he/she set up cus no local would), what exactly are they solving? That man didn’t take your job. He created one for himself where there was no job in the first place.
Dear Mr President @JDMahama, 🇬🇭 I applaud the recent focus on the Shea sector via the TCDA. But while we talk about the "nut", we are ignoring the "gold" on the outside.
The shea fruit pulp is a nutritional powerhouse that could transform our food security and agro-processing industry.
While the world wants our butter for skin, the savannah has used the fruit for survival. The pulp is sweet, rich in vitamin C, and packed with energy.
Currently, millions of tonnes go to waste.
Why are we throwing away a superfood that could fuel our schools and markets?

There is a spectacular and widespread ability today to make people famous and wealthy with no apparent talent. I am not referring to any specific streamer.
I acknowledge this phenomenon for what it is.
What genuinely interests me is something else. As this visibility intersects with Ghana, what concrete image benefit does the country gain? And is that benefit truly mutual, or largely one sided?
Visibility alone is not value.
Exposure is not development.
