On Sunday we celebrate the happy retirement of our parish priest, Father Mayne. Alfie, in Year 6, drew this picture of Fr Mayne meeting Pope Francis. What great artistic skills! @Pontifex@ALPSITnews@StOswaldsRC
As part of their Design and Technology learning, Curie Class have been completing taste-testing. They sampled the delicacies of Lancashire’s cuisine, including hotpot, butter pies, parkin, Chorley cake, Lancashire cheese and shrimp. What a great way to spend Friday morning!
The children have been conducting an experiment using lard to show how polar bears have adapted. Watch out for their version of the adaptation song #BritishScienceWeek@StOswaldsRC
Curie class had great fun with Mrs Holland this afternoon they learnt about fitness and how exercise can increase your pulse and heart rate. I wonder if the children can remember what medical instrument they used to help them listen to their heart @StOswaldsRC#BritishScienceWeek
Another excellent piece of writing from a member of Curie class. Please take a look at Noah's writing and leave a comment. His work is inspired by Anthony Horowitz's book series "Alex Rider" https://t.co/Zy7SLZ8iEE @AnthonyHorowitz@DeputyMitchell@davidwalliams@ALPSITnews
