Sony faces a proposed class-action lawsuit over how digital purchases are presented on the PlayStation Store.
Plaintiffs argue that buttons like “Buy Now” and “Confirm Purchase” give customers the impression they are purchasing and owning a game, when they are actually receiving a license to use it.
The case is based on a California law that took effect in 2025, requiring companies to clearly inform customers when they are buying a license instead of owning a digital product.
Sony’s checkout page includes a notice stating that purchases are licensed under its Software Product License Agreement, but the lawsuit claims the disclosure is too easy to overlook.
The complaint argues that labels such as “Buy Now” and “Confirm Purchase” can lead consumers to believe they are obtaining permanent ownership.
Morty: Capitalism gives everyone a chance to get rich if they just work hard enough.
Rick: Oh my god, Morty! Capitalism doesn't work if everyone wins. It needs poverty to function. Someone has to take the low-paying jobs so the profits keep flowing upward. If everyone had real financial security, no one would take those positions and the system would collapse.
Morty: But Rick, that's just how the market works. Some people earn more because they provide more value.
Rick: Tell that to the kid assembling your iPhone overseas for pennies while some CEO makes millions off it. Capitalism doesn't reward work, it rewards ownership. You don't climb the ladder by working hard, you climb it by owning the ladder. The workers collectively produce infinitely more value than some shareholder living in the Bahamas.
Morty: Okay, but isn't it about freedom People can still move up if they make good choices. Look at people who came from nothing and became successful, like entrepreneurs or celebrities.
Rick: Those are exceptions, idiot. That's why they're on TV. For every one person who makes it out, millions stay stuck because they never had the same luck, connections, or safety nets. The system needs those stories so people believe it's fair.
I genuinely think if we all adopted a 4 day work week with 5-6 hour days, it would change the course of society. People would be happier, healthier, less angry, and more present. Social bonds would be stronger. It could literally change the entire world.
SERIOUS QUESTION: Now if capitalism is so great, why do corporations need tax breaks, subsidies, exemptions, grants, bailouts, legal protections, and trade barriers to survive ?? And when ordinary people ask for help, why is it suddenly called socialism ??

@turtzc Nah. He wanted her out because he knew if she stayed, at some point she would talk to Mel and his ass would be DONE. He 1000% was pushing for Sol to leave to protect his own ass
@Z1pp3rZ4g@NeuronThot14774@Tina62473196 She definitely did some sneaky shit. Don’t get me wrong, Sincere’s wrong through and through. But Sol should have been making a stronger effort to make friends with the girls and then respectfully tell them she would pull their guys for chats.
The Reflecting Pool is a perfect metaphor for the Trump administration:
- Ignore experts and science
- Overspend
- Declare early, historic victory
- "THE LEFT HATE THIS"
- Ends in total failure
- Unfounded conspiracies about sabotage
- MAGA pretends it doesn't actually matter
@Edd1eHimself@wandasattorney@GenerallEXE I feel ya. But I can tell he’s laying the foundation for this world before introducing the big names. It’s a smart move, just takes time to build.
@wandasattorney@GenerallEXE Alright. Do you not understand how hard it is to make a movie about a character that’s already been portrayed in the big screen multiple times by at least 3 actors in the last 20 years?
