So few of the places in no particular order for Indian population- Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, Asheville in North Carolina, Huntsville- Alabama, Austin, parts of North Dallas- Texas, Nashville / suburbs- Tennessee, Northwest Arkansas- Arkansas, exurbs of Atlanta-Georgia, Cities in Utah- Salt Lake , provo. . Parts of Bay area( San Jose) are still amazing despite SF reputation and same applies to some outer parts to Chicago like Naperville despite big city crime. Outside these few other gems where Indian population is on lower scale but will exist are Boise ( covid boomtown), Overland Park -Kansas city, Colorado cities outside Denver ( think Colorado Springs, Boulder etc) , Florida cities outside Miami( so think Naples, Clearwater, Tampa, Sarasota) etc
Rule of Thumb ( in General) - 1. Big cities are not known for great living for families. Simple example- families usually don’t live in Manhattan . They live in WestChester, Scarsdale and commute . Similar is applied across Bay Area( think living in Los Gatos, Saratoga Springs but may work in SF if you are money guy) 2. American cities are riddled with crime but some suburbs / exurbs are usually crime free( key word usually) and thats why some real good cities are 30 min-1 hour away from these city centers. 3. Republican places are usually better than Democrat run big cities 4. Schools play a role in gentrification. All rich / upper middle class stay in one side of city / suburbs ( Think North Dallas, Northwest Chicago etc). 5. usually best known cities in America are usually unknown ! I am not saying this is perfect scenario but the fact is in case of US , best places matching to Singapore are the not usual suspects but under the radar cities. sweet spot is popln cities of 500K-2M
@aravind Yeah now its becoming more obvious. Wonder when govt would take notice.. something says they do know it is happening but they are unwilling/unable to take action ..
There has been a coordinated effort by DGISPR and ISI to target Indians and Indian Americans.
What's been uncovered is not just trolls , it's an engineered, state-linked psyop running 24/7 against India.
Here's what's happening:
🔴 A network of 42+ Telegram groups with thousands of members is actively coordinating mass-engagement on anti-India content — telling followers exactly which posts to like, retweet, quote, and reply to, and which keywords to use so the algorithm amplifies it.
🔴 These groups are linked to TF-2990 (Task Force 2990) — allegedly launched by Pakistan's DGISPR specifically after Operation Sindoor to flood social media with hate and misinformation targeting Indians.
🔴 The operation runs fake "Indian Hindu" larp accounts designed to look like Indian men so racists have easy targets to mock and attack. The content is engineered bait.
🔴 The coordination hub has 2,000+ subscribers on Telegram, and when they push content, thousands of accounts simultaneously post it across Twitter, TikTok, YouTube and Instagram. That's why it feels like an organic wave. It isn't.
🔴 Inner discussion groups include Pakistani , Nigerian and Chinese accounts , this is a multinational influence operation, not just a Pakistan-India issue.
This is what manufactured hate looks like.
Organised. Scaled. Algorithmic

Spot on ! First looks sounds counter intuitive but it’s actually genius! H1b to GC does not help Indians at all but everyone else as Indians don’t get it in time while all others do!
Highly supportive of this move.
H1B-> EB2/EB3 GC for Indians is as good as shut ( 50-100 year wait depending on what data you look at )
Only path for GC EB2, EB3 Indians is EB5 where they are investing $800K of their hard earned $
Why let Bikharis from Pakistani & Somalias have red carpet drawn out to them for GC via H1B
If i were Indian FM, Ill use all my lobbing $ to end this GC via H1B nonsense for good
@tanvi_madan@avatans Its probably due to users for models:) … still.. India does have a bargaining chip which it can use …whether it chooses to.. different question:)
You both are correct:) the day India allows driverless vehicles is the day overton window has moved and India catches up to others in future race … i think India needs to get its act right with Tech rules - make players like Tesla comfortable but also accountable to Indian laws; you will find Waymo and ilk coming because for Waymo and others- Indian roads are the ultimate challenge because if you can make driverless cars work in India, you know your product is too good to work anywhere
As for realistic scenario- i think India is not yet there … for both political but also economic reasons… organically it wont come; inorganically - who knows:)
@AdeleScalia Spot on ! As some one who have lived and travelled in both . Europe may have glorious architecture and history but American holds everything else what a person needs.. best case- make money in US and spend in Europe :)
True and what European goes to another ‘country’ is what American considers it a “state” equivalent in their mind.. americans dont have any need to travel outside America and you only realize that once you live in America.. its pretty big country with 6-9 timezones ( depending on whom you ask) …
@iabhinavKhare@hvgoenka There is difference between being rude and being “ ill mannered” … you can be rude and be following rules; but you definitely will be both “ill mannered and “rude” among other things beyond being rude . Rude does not mean not following rules:)
I doubt it will change on its own soon.. if ever labor costs starts to rise ; it may spark some change.. and that may take some time.. dont expect change on its own .. and while i am not defending this ; we also have give west a benefit that they industrialized first ( very different than having “money” for one set of segment) ; we all know how America was 100 years back…India is pretty unique - which shows both good and bad at very dramatic outcomes… Our best hope lets say India industrialized in next 2-3 decades and we may see change in 2 generations..
