Draft night at the LGS. Promo packs and prize packs were good to me, going 2-1 with this simic pile of 20 commons, 3 uncommons, and a single rare!

First time I played competitive paper Standard was the night before my first RCQ in December 2024. I played in over 10 RCQs this season and my best finish was 2-2-1. No top 8s. Not discouraged. Got to keep grinding! Sleeved my Modern deck this afternoon. Let’s go!

@AJMTGMan@fireshoes Thanks man! Hopefully I can eke out at least one top 8 this season. We’ll see if Orzhov Ketramose has the juice after Breach is banned.
However this thing turns out; I hope the powers that be find a way to seek out and integrate community involvement and opinion to avoid more displeasure like this in the future. End/
For a decree to simply come down and become law with no notice or process, and with it, the financial impact of so many collectors at stake, it’s hard not feel completely helpless and powerless and nobody likes that feeling; 10/
Had a ban proposal been announced months ago on jeweled lotus and mana crypt and any interested party had an opportunity to be heard and provide input and the powers that be still decided to go forward with it, it would be so much easier to swallow 9/
It feels bad to not have any input whatsoever or opportunity to see these decisions are undone. Is this really the best way that these decisions can be made? Probably not. 8/
Is that really enough? As far as we know there was no survey taken or analysis of a dataset or anything like that; Just, apparently, someone’s idea based on their own experience and the agreement of 2 or 3 others and poof, these cards were gone; 7/
