In the 1950s, Ella Fitzgerald was not allowed to play Hollywood's most popular nightclub, Mocambo, because of her race.
Marilyn Monroe, who was a big fan, called the owner & told him that if he booked Ella, Marilyn would be there every night - which guaranteed huge press coverage.
He booked Ella and Marilyn was there, front table, every night. Ella said, "After that, I never had to play a small jazz club again. She was an unusual woman - a little ahead of her times. And she didn't know it."
@Trini_DD@buhdahwee I was referring to the taxes being paid to the government. As a small business you are taxed a certain amount dependant on how much money your business earns
@GagaOrNot@Crazymoments01 Looks like the same damn dog from an earlier clip showing someone trying to dump him at a public space and then some good Samaritan that was riding behind the person, takes him and adopts him. Also, from same user. Fishy
@buhdahwee Yes buying from source is a good alternative but what about the 400+ workers Nestlé itself employs? Rising operational costs has led to this and the government needs to address this, but they can't. Not without looking very stupid and affecting the country's budget.
