@Coach_Yac 'cause we desperately need another 35 years old (36 by March) to spring up the D# with some much needed fresh energy, bringing in a whopping 2 sacks last season π€¦ββοΈ

Our editor, @SallyGimson, argues that the proposed ban could let tech companies off the hook for moderating harmful content β¬οΈ

@Coach_Yac True that! Also, the LA Rams just got last season DPOY and sack leader, and we're stuck talking about this idiot speeding... that tells us all there is to know about this off-season the #49ers are having/had.
@taison_speaks@Coach_Yac@nfldraftscout Fair. But can't be your only reach at the position in FA. Instead we got Evans, signed Kirk (pointless) and even lost a good ST in Moore. Especially with how cheap Evans' signing turned out to be, pursuing more was the play. Instead they'll whiff on a draft pick.
@adrianbahc@Coach_Yac@nfldraftscout I feel Doubs or trying to slot in for Pittman would have been moves with longer term impact. None of them is a HoF calibre dudes, but they are both young. More expensive investments, but way more roster-building choices than a 1 year and done deal with Evans.
@adrianbahc@Coach_Yac@nfldraftscout Lynch and Kyle have demonstrated they can't be trusted to hit well in the Draft (look at 2022, 23 ones especially). And setting yourself up to forcibly have to look at WR at #27 when there's OL/CB/DL to address as well, cuts the BPA argument out.
@adrianbahc@Coach_Yac@nfldraftscout You're correct. And ultimately, Evans at this price is a good pickup. I question the "get younger" in the draft part: there were WR in this FA that could have brought younger talent/speed. Going with Evans while demonstrably being unable to draft good talent is a gamble.
@Luke49ers6@Coach_Yac@nfldraftscout It was, but so it's an proper pass-rush sack number EDGE. And Osa isn't that, the DL still need works (aka: there's holes to fill). Osa is a great pickup (and a future proof one). Evans isn't future proof (soon 33) and it's a stop-gap pickup which is what Miller is saying here.
@AlSacco49 Typical of this FO, unfortunately. A lot of patchwork (either to fix past mistakes, or just shortsighted) short term stuff, not a lot longer term. How are we here without a plan for LT for example, waiting on Williams' stuff to clear. Bad roster building.
