Last week I had the absolute privilege to speak at the dispatch box in the House of Commons chamber as a debate lead for the Yorkshire & Humber region, concluding our 'Food for Learning Bill'.
One year on from the launch of the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Action Plan, grassroots action continues to drive change from the ground up.

Last week I had the absolute privilege to speak at the dispatch box in the House of Commons chamber as a debate lead for the Yorkshire & Humber region, concluding our 'Food for Learning Bill'.
The UK Youth Parliament came together to debate their Food for Learning Bill which aims to extend free school meals for all children in compulsory education. As a long recipient to this provision myself, I cannot stress how much it can affect a child’s education.
Young people and @DefraGovUK officials met for a roundtable on the governments environment plan👥📈
Curtis Yip's blog covers the discussion & what else should be done for young people to input on plans for a green future📣🌱

It was a pleasure to welcome the UK Youth Parliament debate leads and special speakers from the British Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies to Speaker’s House during @UKYP.
It is important to give young people a platform to raise their voices on issues they care about.
The ‘Zoom Beyond Travel Pass’ is something that we at the South Yorkshire Youth Combined Authority introduced just after covid. It has significantly helped young people across the region to use public transport, making us one of the cheapest in the country for ages up to 21.
With the ongoing cost of living crisis, concessionary travel fares for young people are now more important than ever – and with limited funding from government, it’s incredibly disappointing to see that ‘Zoom’ will be scrapped next month.

On Friday I was in Parliament for the Youth Select Committees first oral session, investigating the impact of the cost of living crisis on young people.
I am delighted to have been elected as Vice Chair of the committee and look forward to submitting our findings to government.
Today marked my final session at Rotherham Youth Cabinet as I leave for uni.
I cannot be more grateful for all the amazing people and opportunities I’ve had the privilege to meet and explore.
It’s been an honour representing young people in Rotherham.
Thank you @Rotherham_YC
In March I spoke at the Student Sustainability Research Conference hosted by the University of Leeds.
It was fantastic to celebrate the great research by undergrad and postgraduate students from all across Yorkshire.
