@SquirrellyNuts@Bridgetpee There was an emergency. The poll results released this morning show her on the verge of being so unelectable she can’t even win a lost seat!
.@foxcar_joey I know everyone gets focussed on the polls and OCR announcements but how many updates to the Paddington index will there be before the election?
@tauhenare Owning the property isn’t the point. The result for the taxpayer is the same if she rents or owns. We expect MPs and particularly ministers to spend most of their week in Wellington. It’s fair to pay for their accomodation while they are there. Perhaps it should be govt owned?
@MHReddell More ministers means more ministerial advisors. More opportunities to provide employment for “future MPs”. National like to accuse labour of this but it is notable how many current ministers have worked in a ministerial office.
Ray Chung has resigned as chair of the CCO review subcommittee.
The Herald understands it relates to a probe into his alleged conduct during the recent state of emergency, which saw Police raise concerns with the mayor.

To be very clear: I did not leak a story to the media. Nor do I know anyone else who did.
Beware of radio jocks seeking relevance who claim “impeccable sources” and rush out scurrilous claims on national media - without even bothering to approach me or anyone else to ask for comment before doing so. Not even an attempt at “balance.”
Who cares if you defame someone in the eyes of the nation without giving them a chance to respond first, as long as you get to breathlessly announce your so-called “scoop” that is in fact literally fake news.
I’d expect better from an untrained student journalist working on the primary school newsletter on their first day.
I am going to be making a complaint to the Media Council about this outrageous breach of journalistic standards.
I dare Mr Hosking to name his impeccable source - because I know for a fact that “he” is full of it.
In other more important news, I am happy to report that we had a very good discussion yesterday, our caucus is united behind the PM as the confidence vote clearly showed, 100% focused on serving kiwis in this incredibly challenging time, and winning the upcoming election.
@chrisluxonmp you said in the house yesterday that you had the unanimous support of your caucus “absolutely”. But @NicolaWillisMP says the result of the confidence vote was by majority. Did you mislead the house or did Nicola lie to the media?
