@OldFootball11 Look at the stripes! Is this a Serbian thing? I was painting a Partizan Belgrade subbuteo team a few years ago and the reference photo had the same issue. Took me a good 20mins figuring out why it didnt look correct!

@rioferdy5 @FIVEUK It's not on the same level as the Euro's, Copa Am or the World Cup. Why aren't people piping up about the Asia Cup, The Concafa Cup and the OFC cup as well? They're all important to their federation members but nobody is going to win a Balon D'or for winning one!

@subbuteo_paints Practice on something smaller. Something like Super Cup Football figures.

@subbuteo_paints It's picking out the stand out detail and doing it well. For example if I was painting a Croatia, I would concentrate on the checkered pattern more than the badge etc.

As for technique, nothing can beat time and experience. There are very few shortcuts.

@subbuteo_paints Your teams are always great. The trick is finding the correct amount of detail for a team. Too little and they all end up look like Refs 1 and 2. Too much and you can make a mess of a team.
