It usually rises & falls gently as circumstances change in people's lives. When gov prints money & hands it to everyone, demand skyrockets.

Energy IS economics. I am unsure that Congress can do much about it though

The healthcare system is so broken, but first, we must detach insurance from employers with each individual allowed to shop for their own plans nationwide. Government should be reserved for the uninsurable.

We will not fix our economic system without some major changes & probably some austerity. We must begin to shift social security to required individualized private accounts

When alternative energy sources advance to real economically viability, we won't need government coercion/force to get markets & consumers to jump on board. Instead, we will notice old energy using government to penalize new sources under the guise of saving the industry & jobs.
