The Crop that Chivayo Can't Bribe - Police Corruption, Vendors and Accidents
The comedians who have chosen the courageous path of speaking truth to power deserve recognition. Through satire and comedy, they are exposing serious issues that affect ordinary Zimbabweans every day.
In this video, they imitate how @PoliceZimbabwe officers allegedly deal with vendors, soliciting bribes or forcing arrested vendors to pay money before they are released. The comedy may make people laugh, but the reality it portrays is deeply troubling.
The same corruption is frequently associated with the roads and public transport. How does a visibly overloaded commuter vehicle pass through police roadblocks and continue its journey? If roadblocks are meant to enforce traffic laws and protect lives, then an overloaded vehicle should never be allowed to proceed simply because money has allegedly changed hands.
The horrific accident near Chivhu last weekend, which claimed at least 28 lives, should force the country to confront these questions. In an interview, a man who lost members of his family said that the vehicle was visibly overloaded.
That raises a painful but necessary question: Did this vehicle not encounter a single police roadblock before reaching Chivhu?
If it did, how was it allowed to continue while visibly overloaded?
These comedians are doing more than entertaining us. They are using satire to hold a mirror up to society and to institutions that are supposed to protect the public. Their work deserves praise because speaking about alleged corruption, abuse of authority, and institutional failure takes courage.
But comedy should not have to do the work of accountability.
The police and the government have a duty to answer serious questions about corruption, road safety, enforcement, and accountability. When laws can allegedly be bypassed through bribes, corruption stops being merely an ethical problem, it becomes a threat to human life.
When people die on our roads, accountability cannot end with blaming drivers. We must also ask whether the institutions responsible for enforcing the law did their jobs.
How many lives must be lost before corruption on our roads is treated as the deadly problem it is?

SUNDAY MOTIVATION...
Prophet Makandiwa, from the very first day of your ministry until today, beyond any reasonable doubt you have remained a remarkable example of integrity, humility, and faithfulness. In a world where many leaders are often surrounded by controversy, your name has remained clean. There have been no scandals, no accusations of dishonesty, no rumors of taking what belongs to others, and no stories that have tarnished your reputation. Instead, your ministry has continued to grow from strength to strength because of your unwavering commitment to preaching the Gospel and serving God's people with sincerity. That is something truly admirable and worthy of honor. With THE WAY I WAS RAISED, I fear the Almighty God , and I respect all his servants. I WILL NEVER ever stand against a prophet, a pastor or any leader whom God has called. For the record I have absolutely nothing against you and it's all water under the bridge. Life is too short to dwell on the past when we can focus on building the Kingdom of God so today, my heart is filled with gratitude and thanksgiving. Mwari kudenga ngavakudzwe !!!
Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa , your sermon last weekend touched my heart. I was humbled beyond words when you mentioned my name and publicly acknowledged me and appreciated the charity work that I continue to do for the people. Those words meant a lot to me and for the many years I have watched your ministry grow from humble beginnings into a mighty work that is changing lives. Your dedication, consistency, and commitment to preaching the Gospel continues to inspire many of us. MAY GOD CONTINUE TO INCREASE YOU !!!
I am also grateful that you will now accept my gifts and i hope that position doesn't change. I also want to tap into the GRACE hundreds of thousands of your followers are enjoying. Let me make one thing VERY CLEAR whenever i donate to Churches it's NOT ABOUT A MAN but it's ABOUT THE WORK OF GOD. You spoke about construction so i will gladly donate US$1 MILLION for the development of this church and for the vision you shared of building God's house. It is my joy and privilege to stand with that vision. In addition, I am honored to notify you that last week i bought you a BRAND-NEW 2026 ROLLS-ROYCE CULLINAN FACELIFT, and I also intend to bless your beloved wife with a BRAND-NEW MERCEDES-BENZ G-WAGON a colour of her choice. The Bible says, "God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Corinthians 9:7). I believe there is no greater investment than investing in the Kingdom of God. NGATIVAKEI KEREKE. NGATITSIGIREI BASA RAMWARI. @BaShonaBaShona@HonMachakaire This is very bad and reckless behaviour , endangering the lives of 42 https://t.co/W9oZ52oZuw these people know , what giving birth is? or raising a child ?Highest level of punishment should be given to such transporter.I think the parents also need to be arrested, put in jail.
@tomandmartys Somehow , these players are human and we need to see that side in them. Its not magic , they grind and put in real work. The way they fight for the national glory is way better than one moment miss or misreadโฆ
@NUCLRGOLF Brookes Koepka is intentional, he made a great decision, when it mattered most. Think of Ryder Cup, Presidents cup, l think his decision definitely is more than PGA Tour. He will be ruthless, merciless....l think we will see better golf than before....
This is what should have happened before land redistribution by now Zimbabwe would be an over full bread basket and tobacco earnings would be high up. Today our farmers are just fighting for survival. They have struggled on with little or no farming knowledge.
