Boston labor is standing up with Rumeysa Ozturk, a member with @SEIU509, and all students and workers illegally detained by ICE and DHS. These attacks on our rights to free speech and protest are an attack on the entire labor movement and everyone struggling for a better life.
Ironically, on the very same day that Clark administration sent out their email proposing more “listening sessions,” Provost John Magee was given a personal police escort to avoid students. It’s clear that Clark is only interested in “listening” on their own limited terms.
TL;DR: In classic union-busting fashion, Clark is proposing more meaningless dialogue with no action or democratic process. Read our full response over on our instagram: https://t.co/UaWFmBuOeD
Last Wednesday, after we had spent a week on the picket line, Clark administration finally addressed our strike in an email sent to the student body. This email demonstrates that they are scared of our collective power, but the “five concrete steps” they proposed are meaningless.
We have also accomplished an incredible amount together over the past week! Take a look at our week one recap over on our instagram: https://t.co/DGdmnLrMse
After more than a week on the picket line, we have decided to end our strike. Please read our full statement below.
While our strike may be ending for now, we are not done organizing. Our demands remain the same: Clark must agree to card check neutrality.
We would like to thank everyone who stood with us this week— we are incredibly grateful for the powerful show of solidarity we’ve experienced. We are going to regroup, re-strategize, and come back stronger than ever. We deserve a seat at the table, and we will win one.
Day 10 on the picket line it’s a beautiful day, and we have music, bubbles, and chalk! Come out and make some art with us, and remind people that David Fithian is one of the highest paid university presidents of the country #DavidFithianPayYourWorkers!

Yesterday, we joined the line with striking @cuworkers who took advantage of the opportunity to tell Clark administrators in person that they want card check neutrality...
... but not just during the administration's official "listening session"🤭
Solidarity!
Day 7! Thank you all so much for coming out for an amazing first week of the strike! We are indebted and grateful for the support from all the workers, students, and community organizations❤️🔥 come continue to join the picket with us!!! #UnionStrongUnionProud
