A wonderfully eclectic mix of music and literature on my desk this morning. 🎶There are plenty of exciting concerts and projects in the pipeline, but this morning’s job is perhaps the most seasonal of all: composing Christmas music. In June, naturally. 🎄
Always a joy to be at @lfotweet Longborough Festival Opera (despite the cold and wet ☔️). Absolutely stunning performance of Handel’s Orlando this evening! 🎶
Great to be at @stmaryredcliffe this morning for this first performance of my ‘Mass for the maker of heaven and earth’ (@encorepubs). The choir were on top form! 🎶

Enjoying a bit of music prep this morning for Churchdown Choral Society. 🎶
Our new term starts soon (first rehearsal Thursday 16th April) - come and join us!
4 April at 8:00pm Easter Liturgy
This Service of Light leads us from the emptiness of the tomb into the celebration of Christ’s resurrection. All are welcome.
Join us this evening, 29 March, at 6pm for a performance of Alan Bullard's 'Wondrous Cross', sung by the Abbey Choir.
This meditative work weaves together the traditional Seven Last words of Christ, linking biblical passages & sacred texts with well known hymns for all to sing.
Fantastic to see my new mass setting (available through @encorepubs) mentioned in this month’s edition of @ChoirandOrgan. “Tightly disciplined” and “refreshing to see simple, yet effective, 4-part writing incorporating many elements of polyphony” - I’ll take that! 🎶✨
Candlemas
Join us this evening at 5pm for Solemn Evensong and candlelit procession, sung by the Abbey Choir.
