@aarontay Currently, we are mostly working with title and author matching, and Jaccard index is one of a few ways we account for author name "rearrangements" that we find in the data (also, we plan to iterate on code and documentation)
@aarontay The short answer is, that we are trying to implement tools that would let us match larger amounts of raw citations without identifiers with confidence. Our published version 1 is a start.
Papers-referencing-papers open dataset released by @internetarchive : 1.3 billion citations from and two 76 million articles and books.
Huge datamining, cleanup, and publishing project. Congratulations! Now lets understand scholarly output as a whole

@aarontay thanks for taking a closer look at references! just a note: the fatcat project recently started to surface a citation graph data structure; prototypical, but we have entries for your example, too: https://t.co/pvKPGNOhb3
https://t.co/H7GwxUdYaE looks like an excellent open alternative to Google Scholar, including archiving open-access copies of papers from around the web. Fantastic work @internetarchive!
Did you know you can now search scholarly materials preserved in the @InternetArchive? Meet Internet Archive Scholar, a search engine for 25M research articles from 18th C journals to #OpenAccess conf. proceedings to #Preprint publications.

Wished there was a community version of google scholar?
Now there's https://t.co/Qfy2XtoG8g.
For me personally, the most exciting @internetarchive advancement in the last 10 years.
Congrats bnewbold & team for creating https://t.co/dWsavFDU2g #fatcat.
Once online, books can reach learners wherever they are. During COVID, that saves lives. When a college closes, that means its legacy can live on.

Today I lost my university access to tons of journals. I can report that the difference between open and closed access is very very real for us outside the walled garden 😞😞😞 Researchers, please, please, publish #openaccess! #openscience#phdchat#alumnuslife

@jbaiter_ Unfortunately not, would love to see (do) more about this. As for tricks, I learned about SOLR mass queries via cursor at some point (https://t.co/qNqzpy0ycN) and fast indexing (https://t.co/NqWGLNPRQV). Would love to share and collaborate more on this topic.
