이건 단순히 윤 모가 대통령이 되어서만은 아니고… 예전에 호주 살 때부터 했던 생각이기는 한데, 그래도 비빌 언덕이 조금이라도 있는 사람들은 유학 마치고 곧장 한국 들어가더라. 그리고 어떻게든 그 알량한 유학 경험 부모님 지원 플러스 해서 동년배들보다 한발 앞에서 커리어 밟기 시작하더라.

내일 장례예배 준비 중에… 100년에서 6개월 남겨두고 돌아가신 할머니 삶은 어떠했을까 생각한다. 1922년생으로 미 해군 소속으로 세계대전에 참전하시고 군에서 남편 만나 남편 군 장학금으로 대학 보내고 본인도 대학 졸업. 몇년 전 돌아가신 1927년생 우리 할머니는 초등학교밖에 못 나오셨었지…
