This is Weston A. Price.
In 1939, he published a nutrition study so controversial, the food industry tried to bury it.
Till today, it’s studied by doctors, athletes, & metabolic researchers.
Here are 7 findings from the study they hope you never learn: 🧵
I heard a quote recently from Michael Smoak that changed the way I see everything:
"Everybody in life has a laundry list of problems… until they have a health problem. Then they only have one."
2 months ago… I couldn’t walk.
My body was failing me.
And every single problem I thought I had?
Disappeared.
Money didn’t matter.
Work didn’t matter.
The future didn’t matter.
All I wanted was to be able to walk again.
And now, I CAN walk.
But something strange started happening.
All of those old problems? They started creeping back in.
And I catch myself stressing about them…
Like I forgot.
Like I forgot what it felt like to lose something so basic.
And it made me realize something:
Most of the problems we stress about only exist because we’re healthy enough to have them.
So instead of stressing about everything going on in your life right now…
Be grateful you’re even in a position to worry about it.
Because when your health goes, nothing else matters.
What people don’t understand about fasting:
Your body doesn’t just “burn fat.”
It starts cleaning itself
- Damaged cells.
- Dysfunctional systems.
- Inflammation.
In a fasted state, your body becomes more selective about what survives.
Dana White says a 72 hour fast will completely change how you feel.
He said, “I just do water and electrolytes, zero sugar, zero calories. I don’t do bone broth, I like to keep it simple. It sounds crazy, but once you try it, it becomes addictive. You feel incredible”
Most people will never experience this… because they feel hungry, and quit early.
So here are 4 things you can do to make fasting easier:
#1. Kill hunger the right way
Whenever I feel hungry,
I drink water + electrolytes.
Most of the time… it goes away.
#2. Use clean appetite suppressants
Black coffee helps.
Sparkling water helps.
It’s not magic - just makes it easier.
#3. Control your energy, instead of using your willpower
I wouldn’t recommend working out, but if you do, keep it light.
And go on walks when you feel like eating.
That urge usually disappears once you move.
#4. Fix the REAL problem
And this is the big one…
Most people don’t break their fast because they’re hungry, they break it because they’re bored.
#5. Replace food with focus
Stay busy.
Work. Play. Create. Get out of the house.
Don’t just sit there thinking about food all day.
If you actually make it 72 hours…
You’ll understand exactly what Dana White means.
Your body is going to heal.
You’re going to feel great mentally.
And you will get addicted to fasting.
If fasting were a drug, it’d be the most powerful drug on earth.
- Several studies on it’s ability to fight cancer
- Can dramatically reduce inflammation
- Activates autophagy which cleans up cells
My Crohn’s disease was so bad I couldn’t walk.
I had full body inflammation...
I fasted for 10 days and it went away.
It’s not a conspiracy, it’s true.

If fasting were a drug that doctors could prescribe, every doctor would be pushing it like crazy.
But they don’t make money from it.
And that’s why you never hear about it.
Fasting isn’t magic.
It’s a tool.
And if you use it correctly…
It can completely reset your body.
I’m not saying you need to fast for 10 days.
But I am saying this:
Your body is more capable of healing than you think.
You just never give it the chance.

I’m not married...
But I do know one thing for certain about marriage:
Once all of the emotions and effortless joy fade away from that period of time we call the “honeymoon phase”…
You have to get up everyday and actively choose that person again.
It has to be a conscious decision.
I have something written at the top of my journal, that I read every morning, that says:
“I choose you again today Lord.”
I have to recommit myself to God everyday
I have to say I choose you God.
I have to say my one “yes” to you means a million other “no’s” to everything that is not of you.
And that to me is freedom.
Because if not?
If I don’t do that?
I am a slave to my own desires.
And I know from experience that is not freedom.
If you’re looking for a sign to go on a fast…
Let my 10-day fast that healed my:
- full body inflammation
- long term Crohn’s disease
- stomach infection
- brain fog
- and inability to walk
Be your sign.
Do it for 3 days, drink only water, electrolytes, and black coffee.
I fast 23hrs everyday.
I don’t have to think about breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
I don’t have to cook 3 meals per day and clean.
I drink water, coffee, electrolytes, sparkling water…
And my mind is clear all day.
Then I get to feast at night and chill.
While being in a caloric deficit.
This is peak health in my opinion.
Eat ONE meal per day.
Your body is intricately designed and it knows how to adapt and process a lot of food in one sitting.
- caloric deficit
- reduced inflammation
- mental clarity
- sustained energy
- metabolic health
The list of benefits goes on and on.
6 small meals per day has never been the answer to health or weight loss.
Not only does it fail every time, it’s also extremely annoying.
Constantly having to cook and clean and figure out what you’re eating for the next meal.
Wasted time, wasted energy, decision fatigue, and constant stress on your body from having to digest food all day.
Who told you to eat so frequently?
It doesn’t make sense ancestrally.
Until 21st century, humans never had the ability to eat multiple meals per day.
It was FAST and then FEAST.
Spend most of the day hunting and gathering and then eat as much as you can (or all that you have), and then sleep.
The only downside to this way of eating is that most people can’t stand the feeling of being hungry.
If that’s you, that is a problem.
You are meant to feel hungry most of the day.
Aside from it being a little “hard” for people who are constantly stuffing their face...
There are zero downsides.
You are meant to FAST.
Your body can’t heal if it’s constantly digesting.
Give it a break.
16hrs, 24hrs, 72 hours…
All are extremely beneficial.
Experiment with this for 2 weeks and you will feel better than you've ever felt.
