@HoboInTheCorner@alecrobbins I would bet money that was the design goal of the game. Give people the experience of playing video games for the first time again. It was incredible. learning basic new things you could do. Must be how it felt learning mario can run if you hold down the B button.

@mollygos@dandouglas Fun for a lark but not practical imo, you're stuck with the low LOD textures and half the time the pasta hitboxes don't load in so you can't eat them.

First scene is a ghost story, told to children. Played straight, no one jumps out of the shadows or cracks a joke. Then the rest of the movie is basically just that ghost story brought to life. Few (no?) contemporary movies would dare to be so nakedly earnest.
My wife finds me sitting in the dark, my head in my hands.
"What's wrong?"
"Everything's going to be different from now on"
"What are you talking about. You're scaring me."
"AI can now tell you that future episodes of a TV show could be about the characters in that show."
