"The risks of so-called passive exposure to synthetic opioids such as fentanyl are overblown."
The @latimes has a new story about the alleged "overdose" of a San Diego Sheriff's Deputy. This one is *actually* skeptical. Thank you @jeremyfaust!

Apparently this needs to be said:
SARS-CoV-2 is an RNA virus. The virus genome does not integrate into your DNA as the virus is not DNA-based nor does it encode a reverse transcriptase to become DNA.
It's RNA at the beginning, it's RNA at the end. It's also RNA in the middle.

The first Ct may be the same. We still do not know how much of this RNA represents infectious virus but it drops rapidly about when I would expect the T cell response so looks like even just using Ct values vaccinated people doing much better
Here’s a graph of every county in America. Pandemic of the unvaccinated.
Vaccines work. Vaccines save live.
CDC on COVID Delta variant :“Dr. Walensky said 80% of the counties with the highest number of infections have less than 40% of people vaccinated.”
COVID Stage Paper now accepted for publication in so will post link to paper when available but here are the 'polished' figures. The reason I like peer review is despite the pain I do think it improves the final product. Thanks to all the reviewers :-)
In #COVID19 update 72 Daniel Griffin on long term symptoms in children, outcomes for MIS-C, guidance from American Acad Pediatrics, large outbreak of delta variant, low dose mRNA vaccination generates durable T cell memory and antibodies, and more https://t.co/mjn2pejx1C
