DOTS NEWEstAMBASSADOR… AND SHE’S A CAT. 🐱
We know.
Dogs on the Streets, Cat as an ambassador….. It wasn’t a typo.

Meet Pickle, beautiful, fluffy, fabulous and, according to Pickle herself, far more important than most of the people she meets.
Pickle is the much-loved baby of @rickygervais and @JaneFallon , and she has decided to use her considerable influence, charm and exceptional ability to stare at people until they do exactly what she wants to help support Dogs on the Streets.

PICKLE HAS SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT DOGS…
“I like dogs.
Well… some dogs.
They’re very loud. Why are they always shouting? You don’t hear cats barking at 3am because someone walked past the window.
And they smell.
I’m sorry, but someone had to say it.
They also eat things they find on the pavement. Sometimes things that are still moving.
Honestly, dogs have some very questionable lifestyle choices.
But Pickle admits there is one thing dogs are exceptionally good at.
“They love their people.
They really, really love their people.
And that’s why I want to help them.”

📚 A LITTLE WORD ABOUT MUM…
Pickle would also like everyone to know that her mum, Jane Fallon, is quite possibly the best book writer in the world.
Obviously, Pickle has read all her books.
Well… she has sat on them.
Which is basically the same thing.
Jane writes brilliant, funny, gloriously observant books about people, relationships and all the wonderfully complicated things humans get themselves into.
Pickle says she has been a constant source of inspiration.
Although she would like it noted that she charges Mum for editorial advice.
Usually in the form of treats.
And occasionally by sitting directly on the laptop.
“Someone has to make sure the writing is up to standard,” says Pickle.
“I’m very strict.”

🎬 A LITTLE WORD ABOUT DAD…
Pickle may be helping Dogs on the Streets, but her dad has been busy with his own animal-related project.
Ricky Gervais: Alley Cats is now on Netflix, a six-episode adult animated comedy about a gang of feral London cats getting into trouble on the streets.
And apparently, there may be a little bit of Pickle in Gus, the show’s leading cat.
Pickle’s response?
“Obviously.
I assume Dad has based Gus entirely on me.
The lovely face.
The charm.
The personality.
The general superiority.
Although I’ve been told there’s also quite a lot of Dad in Gus.
I’m choosing not to comment on that.”

🐶 WHY PICKLE WANTS YOU TO HELP DOTS
Pickle has a safe home.
Not every dog does.
And not every person who loves a dog has a safe home either.
That’s where your support can make a real difference.
