Young Stalin by Simon Sebag Montefiore. Stalin, the Court of the Red Tsar is awaiting me plus many other books about Russia. Hopefully have some time to develop background knowledge this year.

Highly recommend - The White Ship by Charles Spencer.

Extremely well written and gives insight into the Medieval world providing a summary of William the Conqueror and tracing the journey to the sinking of the White Ship and the anarchy.

Would definitely love the opportunity to revisit our unit on Empire and continue to develop it, add in some historiography and contextualise the country and world we live in.

Thanks to @bagshaw_ewan for helping year 13 organise a revolution! 1819 doesn't know what's coming! I heard cheese toasties were a key asset in this revolution as well as punchy political speeches and key political figures in students' pockets. Well done - what a fab cohort!
