@GfedGoCrazy is correct. There is nothing special/unique/noteworthy about spartan stadium or the atmosphere, fan engagement. Hopefully the renovations add character and we can create a unique hostile atmosphere
(the crowd also needs to get loud earlier than 3 seconds before ball is snapped. useless)
Totally understand there have been missteps and re-evaluations. Happens in any startup much less one that is a full sports leagues with a ton of moving parts/operations. Just dont know how constantly crapping on the good that has been built helps.
Who would be better equipped to create & grow a lax league? Many have failed and sports leagues take a ton of time to grow and mature.
@CollegeGameDay Want to clarify that I do agree with everything Jay said. It was how he said it rubbed me the wrong way. I understand he is the only one at espn talking the truth on NIL where there are others who focus specifically on it elsewhere (ie dellenger). Gberg doesnt get it but Cal does
@CollegeGameDay Why is Bilas so combative about this? He got his win when NIL was legalized. He has strayed so far from being a good ball game commentator when he only stays on the high horse
@VictorySlap4700 Actually agree with everything he said. I work in the NIL space. Just don’t love the delivery and bellittling Cal before he could talk and agree with Jay.
@76shademaster @CollegeGameDay And I agree with everything he’s saying. But he’s also a commentator and treats people like jackasses and won’t let Cal talk just to belittle him just to give him a history lesson. I say all this all as someone who works in the nil space
@e_dunn94117@CollegeGameDay I understand this. And do agree with a lot of him (I work in the nil space). None of them are hurting and Cal has advocated for collective bargaining and for player to be compensated. Mostly commenting on how he’s gone so far into being angry and a layer and not talking ball.
Madden Orlovsky had a heartfelt message for his family and friends in honor of World Autism Awareness Day 🥹
This was a special moment for all of us at ESPN. Thanks, Madden and @danorlovsky7 ❤️
@iamneilbarrett As a non native Nashvillian, this is something I can get behind. I think it’s a great restart from the cartoonish past branding. Never understood the flames and the team never felt “titan” or Greek. The sword looked like clash of clans.
@BillyRayTweets Agreed on this that the fanbase is somewhat low bball IQ. It has always been very apparent when sitting in the stands at cassell. But i will take misguided passion over apathy any day!
