We have had a fantastic and very wet day at @WWTSlimbridge where we explored different habitats and saw lots of birds. Oh we also got very wet as well π§ @cwprimary
Over the past few weeks we have been improving our fitness by completing a circuit of activities designed to get us moving different muscles. @cwprimary
We are taking part in the @RSPBCymru Wild Challenge project with aim of achieving the bronze or silver award π. So far we have been on a habitat hunt around school, become weather wizardβs and tomorrow will be making bird feeders to attract more birds to school. @cwprimary
Welcome back to a new term! We spent today getting stuck into our new theme βThe Call of the Wildβ where we hope to make the school environment more attractive to animals. Following our habitat hunt, our school scored 101 in our test which is good, but we can make it even better.
We carried out a science investigation to find out which material would slow Santaβs sleigh down. Different materials were used to determine whether high or low friction materials were better. @cwprimary
PC Morgan came in to talk to us about staying safe online. We learnt about being SMART. S = safe, M = meeting, A = accepting, R = reliable, T = tell someone. Thank you PC Morgan we learnt lots. @cwprimary
As a class we have been collecting presents to give to charities this Christmas. These presents will go to other children who are not as fortunate as us. We hope these presents bring smiles to other children at Christmas. @cwprimary
We got immersed in Friendship Week recently. One of the activities we completed was to make friendship bracelets for someone else in the class and then give them at the end of the week. Everyone enjoyed getting one ππ

Today we took part in a βliveβ lesson from @DwrCymru with children from over 200 schools across Wales to coincide with @COP26. We looked at how much water we could be wasting at home and how we can use less in the future.
Our first hockey session this week. Everyone had a great go at dribbling the ball and attempting to hold the hockey stick correctly. Looking forward to next week. π
