Then, I checked Nvidia’s revenue report for the fourth quarter of 2024: Gaming sector revenue: $3.8B Data centers/AI chips revenue: $18B
These numbers make the company’s priorities clear.
Recently, I became interested in why Nvidia doesn’t provide gamers with powerful new solutions that surpass previous generations, instead offering only a 10-15% improvement with each new release.
It's sad to see the gaming video card market.
NVIDIA has focused on delivering cutting-edge technologies only for AI, ignoring gamers.
It was kind of obvious that this could happen, but lol.
When will I finally be able to play a new Unreal Engine game in 4K?
PCIe 4.0 has a bandwidth of 32 GB/s, so transferring 100 floats would take around 1–5 microseconds.
The bandwidth of GDDR6 (RTX 3080) is 760 GB/s, making the transfer take only 10–100 nanoseconds!
VRAM is 100 times faster than RAM in this context.
Have you ever thought about why your video card needs separate VRAM?
I just tried to figure out the difference between retrieving 100 floats from RAM to the GPU cache versus from VRAM to the same location.
Everyone who is interested in graphics and, specifically in DirectX 12.
I just posted an introduction to DirectX 12 engine development.

I have finally finished the first part of DirectX 12 Engine, made from scratch with several libs.
Light, reflections, Cascade shadows with culling, frustum culling from camera, etc. all this stuff has been implemented there.
It took ~6 month to make it.🫡

@A56973089 @vladnineplusone@KonstantinDzon У меня нет входных данных, из почти бедной семьи, устроился в российскую компанию и переехал в эмираты.
Дрочу литкод чтобы уйти работать плюсовиком в нвидию.
Жду когда мне будут говорить что я ошибка выжившего.
